Good News...!!!

Happy Monday everyone!

Today is the first sunny day here in a while, which is just so fitting for how I'm feeling, which is exuberant, excited, peachy...just plain ole happy :) God has been moving in ways that I could have never imagined, ways that have blessed me and taught me in ways I could have never planned, nor would I want to, seeing as how much more beautifully God orchestrates them. He is so good in all things. Soooo here's the news I wanted to share...I'm releasing a BRAND NEW single on iTunes this upcoming week off of my upcoming EP, "Up's & Down's"! The Lord has inspired my heart lately with so many things to write about, and I absolutely can't wait to share the results with you all. Thank you so much for being the blessings you are...please know that I am here for you, as you all have been here for me. I wanted to create a way to connect more with y'all, so I decided to start a prayer journal...the power of prayer is unfathomable. So if you all have any prayer requests, please feel free to email me at: emtaylor@em-taylor.com! Hope you all are having an incredible day today :) You are loved.

Happy 2013!!!

Happy New Year everyone!

As I reflect over this past year, I can't help but have my breath taken from me, as I look at all the ways in which the Lord moved in my life. He has brought me so many places, introduced me to so many people, taught me so many lessons, and opened so many doors, all of which I would have never expected! I just want to remind you all that God is real. He is present. He is right by your side, and He has a beautiful plan for this new year for you...I can't wait to see what He does. :) You are loved.

Mornings with C.S. Lewis...

Good morning sweet friends :)

This morning during my quiet time, I decided to do a little research on C.S. Lewis, whom I strongly admire for his faith, devotion, and steadfast love for the living God. I found that a lot of the things he stated throughout his life largely related to my life at the present moment, which I only see as the Lord taking care of my heart through the words of the wise who came before me. I hope these encourage you as much as they did me. :) You are loved.

"Hardships often prepare ordinary people for an extraordinary destiny." -C.S. Lewis

"But don't go trying to use the same route twice. Indeed, don't try to get there at all. It'll happen when you're not looking for it." -C.S. Lewis (The Lion, The Witch, & The Wardrobe)

""Love anything and your heart will be wrung and possibly broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact you must give it to no one, not even an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements. Lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket, safe, dark, motionless, airless, it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable. To love is to be vulnerable." -C.S. Lewis

I am trying here to prevent anyone saying the really foolish thing that people often say about Him: I’m ready to accept Jesus as a great moral teacher, but I don’t accept his claim to be God. That is the one thing we must not say. A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic — on the level with the man who says he is a poached egg — or else he would be the Devil of Hell. You must make your choice. Either this man was, and is, the Son of God, or else a madman or something worse. You can shut him up for a fool, you can spit at him and kill him as a demon or you can fall at his feet and call him Lord and God, but let us not come with any patronizing nonsense about his being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us. He did not intend to.
