Hi everyone :)
Today is a beautiful day...I've gotten to spend it remembering the days of being a little girl...the sweet times when worry didn't exist, the times when it was so easy to wear a constant smile...I don't want to be a downer, but sometimes I wonder why those things disappear as we get older. I think it's because we begin to see the reality of the world around us. We gain knowledge, which which takes away the innocent oblivion. Even still, why do we let growing up often rob us of the joy and rest we once knew? I've been learning that the only thing that worry and unhappiness accomplish is nothing. Lately, it's hit me pretty hard that when I begin to worry, I'm not living in light of God's promises. As believers, we are called to live outside of the norm...in this case, the norm is developing more stress as we get older and experience more life. When we call ourselves followers of Christ, we are professing to go against our nature by having joy no matter what circumstances we're in. When we put our hope in the Lord and daily choose to trust Him with whatever lies in the day ahead of us...the Lord is able to move and complete His promises in and through us. All of that to say...I encourage you to surrender this day to the Lord...have faith like an innocent child whose hope is in their Father who loves and takes care of them...work hard, forgive always, love well. Simply enjoy the beauty in this day, that God may work through you. You are dearly loved.
