Today is the first sunny day here in a while, which is just so fitting for how I'm feeling, which is exuberant, excited, peachy...just plain ole happy :) God has been moving in ways that I could have never imagined, ways that have blessed me and taught me in ways I could have never planned, nor would I want to, seeing as how much more beautifully God orchestrates them. He is so good in all things. Soooo here's the news I wanted to share...I'm releasing a BRAND NEW single on iTunes this upcoming week off of my upcoming EP, "Up's & Down's"! The Lord has inspired my heart lately with so many things to write about, and I absolutely can't wait to share the results with you all. Thank you so much for being the blessings you are...please know that I am here for you, as you all have been here for me. I wanted to create a way to connect more with y'all, so I decided to start a prayer journal...the power of prayer is unfathomable. So if you all have any prayer requests, please feel free to email me at: emtaylor@em-taylor.com! Hope you all are having an incredible day today :) You are loved.

Happy New Year everyone!

As I reflect over this past year, I can't help but have my breath taken from me, as I look at all the ways in which the Lord moved in my life. He has brought me so many places, introduced me to so many people, taught me so many lessons, and opened so many doors, all of which I would have never expected! I just want to remind you all that God is real. He is present. He is right by your side, and He has a beautiful plan for this new year for you...I can't wait to see what He does. :) You are loved.

This morning during my quiet time, I decided to do a little research on C.S. Lewis, whom I strongly admire for his faith, devotion, and steadfast love for the living God. I found that a lot of the things he stated throughout his life largely related to my life at the present moment, which I only see as the Lord taking care of my heart through the words of the wise who came before me. I hope these encourage you as much as they did me. :) You are loved.

"Hardships often prepare ordinary people for an extraordinary destiny." -C.S. Lewis

"But don't go trying to use the same route twice. Indeed, don't try to get there at all. It'll happen when you're not looking for it." -C.S. Lewis (The Lion, The Witch, & The Wardrobe)

""Love anything and your heart will be wrung and possibly broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact you must give it to no one, not even an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements. Lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket, safe, dark, motionless, airless, it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable. To love is to be vulnerable." -C.S. Lewis

“I am trying here to prevent anyone saying the really foolish thing that people often say about Him: I’m ready to accept Jesus as a great moral teacher, but I don’t accept his claim to be God. That is the one thing we must not say. A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic — on the level with the man who says he is a poached egg — or else he would be the Devil of Hell. You must make your choice. Either this man was, and is, the Son of God, or else a madman or something worse. You can shut him up for a fool, you can spit at him and kill him as a demon or you can fall at his feet and call him Lord and God, but let us not come with any patronizing nonsense about his being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us. He did not intend to.”

New Duet Coming Soon!!!

Ladies and Gents,

‎1 Samuel 1:10-15 "She was deeply distressed and prayed to the Lord and wept bitterly. And she vowed a vow and said, “O Lord of hosts, if you will indeed look on the affliction of your servant and remember me and not forget your servant, but will give to your servant a son, then I will give him to the Lord all the days of his life, and no razor shall touch his head.” As she continued praying before the Lord, Eli observed her mouth. Hannah was speaking in her heart; only her lips moved, and her voice was not heard. Therefore Eli took her to be a drunken woman. And Eli said to her, “How long will you go on being drunk? Put your wine away from you.” But Hannah answered, “No, my lord, I am a woman troubled in spirit. I have drunk neither wine nor strong drink, but I have been pouring out my soul before the Lord."

Feeling so encouraged by this woman's faith...there is such truth in God's Word...it's amazing how much my heart relates to a woman who was alive so long ago...just goes to show that there is one God, and we are one people who relate to each other in our brokenness.

Stories, Stories, Stories

Hey sweet friends!

Basically, I thought it would be cool to say I'm posting to you from the sky. :) But...to make this a little bit longer than a couple of sentences, I decided, since I'm in the midst of traveling, I'd like to share with you some of my traveling essentials from entertainment to fashion to cosmetics to health on the go. The following is my long list of travel necessities:

The first thing I'm always sure to have is a wallet that holds EVERYTHING...it helps me consolidate to conserve carry-on space. This one by Hobo has enough pockets to fit as many credit cards, gift cards, etc., as need be, a space for ID, a pocket for checks, cash, and change, and a whole separate section where I like to store chapstick and earbuds...which leads to my next necessity...(www.hobobags.com)

Music is pretty much my life, so when I'm traveling, earbuds are a MUST.

Whenever I'm going to be traveling on an airplane, I always bring a scarf, no matter what season it is. I've discovered that the temp on airplanes is never consistent...most of the time, the air is so crazy cold, I find myself not enjoying the flight, and I love FLYING!!! A scarf like this is light, yet just enough to keep you warm and cozy on a flight to wherever you're headed :) (www.anthropologie.com)

Emergen-C is a major necessity, simply because it's healthy and keeps your immune system on top of its game...plus it's just yummy! :)

Just to keep the lips hydrated!

Last, but not least, always keep healthy snacks on hand...airport food is yummy, but not exactly the best for your system on a day where you need energy to get places! :)

Safe Travels!!!
